In this artickle a person who have hair transplant experience will tell, what he has lived during the hair transplant period. So lets listen what he lived !
PREPARING TO HAIR TRANSPLANT
With a sudden madness, you go to the doctor and shake hands about the time of hair transplantation. When determining the date, I recommend you to give yourself a week. There will be some issues to prepare for.
The first advice that your doctor will give you before hair transplantation is that; you should leave all the drugs, vitamins, nutritional supplements, minerals, omega 3, all the things that you take out of your body without food, at least one week before operation. If you are also a person who likes to drink alcohol, you should not use alcohol for a while. All these differences are due to the necessity to increase the bleeding during the operation and to expel everything that could possibly dilute the blood from the body. In addition to this, it is considered to prevent possible bad interactions with certain drugs that will be given to you during the operation. If you have any medication that you use for treatment, be sure to tell your doctor. Operation may be postponed.
If you smoke, you should stop smoking for the same time with alcohol.Especially in the first 10 days immediately before and after the operation, it would be completely insane to smoke one cigarette in a very gentle time.
Your doctor may ask you to start some antibiotic and antifungal medications before the operation. The reason is to take precautions against the transmission of microbe or fungal diseases during the operation. Be sure to follow your doctor’s advice.
In the meantime, your doctor may suggest a number of pre-treatment methods such as mesotherapy. As far as I know, there is no clear evidence of their medical implications. It is said that it has a time-enhancing effect on the hair. I didn’t hear it or read it. I think if you don’t have a financial problem, trust your feelings.see
You will not be asked to cut your hair for operation. Before the operation, the cut will be done in a manner appropriate for the operation.
Take a list of the medications you will use after the operation from your doctor and have them ready at home. You will not want to go shopping after the operation. Do not believe the words that are said to not intimidate you. If you’re working on at least one Friday (for operation) and all days of the week, be sure to get permission! The first 10 days is very important for your hair roots to settle in new places! If possible, do not leave the house (except the first wash)!
Your basic shopping list will be a thing approximately as follows:
Your doctor will recommend the antibiotic (in addition to antifungal may also be recommended)
If your doctor recommends pain relievers (if your stomach is sensitive, be sure to share it with your doctor)
Stomach protective drugs recommended by your doctor
Baby shampoo or a medical shampoo your doctor will recommend
Lotion or spray containing panthenol (to be used to help shed the shells in the sown area and heal wounds in the receiving area)
As additional information, I know that some doctors applied cortisone treatment for a few days after hair transplantation. There are a few things I want to add to the shopping list above. You should take a dishwashing sponge and a bowl just for washing. Do not touch the hair for the first 10 days. It is important to rinse the water slowly, not from the shower head, but without touching it again. It will also help you to have a mirror with an adjustable angle foot with a magnifying glass on the front.
Before operation, cut your fingernails and toenails! You will cut the fingernails in order not to damage the case of scratching. You will cut your toenails for a while, as it will be forbidden to lean forward.
In the first 10 days you will have to lie in a place where your head will not be touched. The hardest part of hair transplantation is not the operation, but the next 10 days of sleep. I am very serious. You’re just gonna get laid on your neck. You may need to use a neck-backed pillow, inflatable neck pillow, or even a neck collar for support. Prepare your position and position before the operation. If you skip this point, you will suffer a lot.You should take precautions at every point in the house where you can hit your head. If you live alone, don’t do housework for 10 days. Especially the first 3 days do not even bend your head forward! You won’t do anything other than lie flat on your back.
You will be told how many hours the operation will last.An important note: wear shirt and sweatpants in the front zipper. Forget your athletes, t-shirts, and sweatshirts for at least 2 weeks from the day of operation. If the weather is rainy or if there is a chance of rain, have an umbrella with you. You should not allow it to get wet before or after the operation.
The preparation period is at least as important as the operation. The process of hair transplantation can be divided into:
Decision stage (To decide on hair transplantation, the place of the planting and to choose the doctor, set the time, collect the money)
Preparing for operation (Everything in this topic.)
Operation day (Everything in the next title.)
The first 2 or 3 days after the operation (the process until the first washing and taking the bandage).
The first wash and the 10th day after the operation.
The process between the 10th and the 15th day (the bulk of the shells are poured, and the rest are now removed with the hair separated from the skin.)
Between the 15th and 21st days (Morals are distorted because the shock starts shedding.)
Between 3 and 6 weeks (almost all of the hair is cut out.)
1.5 months to 3 months (This process may not be a serious improvement in general. Or patience ..)
3 months to 6 months (Now, the pioneers come, even if weak).
6 months to 8 months (All healthy grafts are expected to give hair, even if they are weak.)
Between 8th and 12th month (the first hair should be strengthened when the first comes out. No improvement is expected after the 12th month. The result of the operation is clear.)
I wish you a successful operation if you have completed all your preparations and accepted the process. You are about to implement the most effective solution that modern medicine has ever put forward! There is no other remedy for now!
HOW TOCHOOSE PHYSICIAN BEFORE HAIR TRANSPLANT
The results of the first hair transplantation were outrageous. But it was many years ago, and the technique went much further than that time. There are a lot of comments about clinics on the Internet. Forum pages are confusing and many comments are made. People who do research for hair transplants are usually based on the examples they see. The hair transplant clinics are therefore introducing their operations to people. When choosing a doctor or a clinic, you should look at how many people have been transferred in this clinic. People who have been transferred should be contacted and their opinions about the clinic should be taken. The success of the clinic will be shown not by pre- and post-mortem photographs, but directly from patients.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 0
You have to be at the hospital at 8:00 am for hair transplantation.I would advise you to sleep at least 9-10 hours before your wake up. You will need a lot of rest.Make a nice breakfast. Stay away from food that may cause trouble.
The first thing to do is to remove the things that are on you and dress your operation apron. Then your hair is cut and prepared for operation. Determining your forehead. According to the grafts planned to be taken, a hair transplant plan is being created. Then a vascular access is opened. The reason for this is to be able to intervene quickly in case of any tension such as blood pressure drop due to the drugs to be injected during the operation.
If you have any allergies or are susceptible to a drug, you need to specify it before this point. Then you lie on the seat in the semi-sitting position and the nurse makes the first anesthetic needle from the point where it is least painful. The first needles are made by giving short breaks. If you feel a nuisance such as nausea, dizziness or blackness, you should divide it immediately. After the first needles, additional needles are made, taking into account the effectiveness of anesthesia. After complete anesthesia, your scalp in the area to be transplanted is inflated with the help of a liquid. You don’t feel pain, but you feel it swelling. Don’t panic, it will pass over time. There’s no place to escape after this point. The most difficult part of the operation is over. After the inflating section, there is a break of 10-15 minutes. There are drugs that reduce bleeding in the inflating fluid. Some of the adrenaline in the content is also mixed with your blood. It is normal to have tremor in the hands and body. But if you have a nuisance, such as blackout, tell your doctor. If the flicker increases, you’re gonna have to take a little break and calm down. If you’ve had a proper breakfast in the morning it won’t be a problem. But if your blood sugar drops, you may want to take small breaks and have a snack. When the time is up, your condition is reviewed and if necessary your blood pressure is checked. After some conversation, the numbness is checked for the last time and if necessary, some more anesthesia is done. The miracle instrument micromotor is operated, allowing the graft to be taken in a session so as to form a covering in the head of 5, 5V, 5A. The punches used must be around 0,7-0,8mm.A hole is drilled around the graft to be taken with a micromotor. Then these grafts are collected one by one. In this part of the work you feel the sound of the micromotor twinkling and touching but there is no pain.Hair removal, grooving and planting work is carried out not only by the doctor but also with the health personnel.
The removal of hair grafts can be summarized as follows:
The graft is cut off using a micromotor. The graft is removed with another device.
The grafts are divided into individual hairpieces, double hair strands, triple hair strands, and four hair strands.
Grafts are collected in containers in approximately floating groups, which are a nourishing liquid.
One of the nurses works with the micromotor while the others collect the grafts and place them in the containers.
When the half of the reception area is reached, an intermediate count is made and the balance between the two halves of the region is tried to be achieved.
When the planned number of grafts is reached, the purchase is finished.
After the hair intake is completed, the region will be anesthetized. After passing the first part, the anesthetic needles in this area are painless.
Then the area to be transplanted is inflated. Then you are slowly being raised. If there is no blood pressure problem, the protector is worn and a break is given. A benefit of sowing in the hospital is the possibility to have a dining room and canteen. Eat something even if you don’t. Force yourself if necessary. On the way back, if you don’t have one, take a snack.Go to the toilet even if you don’t feel the need. Hygiene in the area where hair transplantation will be done is more important for hair to hold. Take a break before Hair Transplant starts. You can also take a break after the Hair Transplant starts, but considering both the hygiene and the possibility of hitting this area since the planting started, it is better if you do it less.During hair transplants, the channels in your hairline will be opened first. The most common hair transplantation area will be there. The hair will be planted less frequently as it moves towards the back of the head. Still, everyone’s situation may be different, of course.
Because of the bleeding in the channels opened during the hair transplant, the area is frequently cleaned by squeezing the serum. After hair transplantation was complete, both intake and hair transplantation area was thoroughly cleaned. A bandage was applied to the reception area and the hair transplant area was left open. Then you are standing up, you walk a little in a controlled way, you are seated and if necessary blood pressure is checked. Because I had an occasional chills, blood pressure control was performed almost every hour during the operation. After the operation, you should use the antibiotics and painkillers. Appointment date is given after 3 days for bandage and first wash.
You should take it seriously not to hit your head. Normally, with a little impact, you suddenly pull your head back with a reflex. This reduces the risk or severity of injury. Because the hair transplant area is numb, this reflex will not work in some months. A blow to the hair transplantation area in the first 10 days can cause serious graft loss. The numbness in the reception zone is very fast. There is not much risk for this area, but you should protect the plantation area like your eyes. Not only collision, but also rubbing grafts can be removed or removed and killed. The first 10 days are very critical, and at least for the first month, be alert to the slightest rubbing or crash.
After the plantation is over, the ball goes to you. After this point, instead of bald head, if you want to be able to say that my head was bald, keep in mind that there is a serious protection process in front of you.
Not finished yet. You’re starting to take the medication your doctor gave you. Now you have to sleep in a suitable position to protect the grafts carried. My advice is to sleep in a shirt. Look out for the head, don’t rub your head. Support your arms on both sides with a pillow to prevent rotation when sleeping. Lie down by tying your shirt’s cuff links to each other or to the front buttons, so as not to scratch your head unconsciously while you sleep.
I’ll be open to you. It’s not possible to sleep like this. 🙂
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 1
The day after hair transplantation, it’s not easy. You are trying to find a position and sleep without touching the hair transplant area. Your neck and your arms are already exhausted from returning to one since the operation. You can use the area where the grafts are taken for hair transplantation as a support point. Your head is as heavy as a ton. In the meantime, your head is heavy already, full of liquid in the inflating fluid. We already have a bandage. As a result the first night I hardly ever slept. The area on my neck where I had my head ached as if crushed. Apart from this, there is no pain in the sowing or reception areas. A warning to you: The fluid injected to inflate your scalp is leaking through every hole it finds. Put a towel over where you sit to sleep or lie down. A lot of fluid will flow. These leaks will be a lot more than the first three days. As the swelling goes down, it will be reduced.Your lying position may be half-sitting. You can get up and wander as you get bored, but throw your head back and swing up. In the meantime, be careful not to hit somewhere. If you keep your head in an upright position, or if you keep your position too far, your face will swell up like Rocky Balboa who was beaten by Ivan Drago! No joke! There’s nothing wrong with looking down and turning your head. Just don’t stay in that position!
There will be no difference in hair transplantation area on day 1. Do not touch, knock, rub or lie on your back as far as possible.
Use your medication!
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 2
This day will be the same as the previous day. The pain, which was like crushed in the place where I rested, was intensified. I’ve slept very little again. While I am asleep, can I turn, do I touch my head, or not, the uneasiness keeps me awake.
If you have the chance to put your monitor in a high position, you can slide your arm down and then watch your movie, series or something. But pay attention to the angle of your head. If you have swelling on your forehead don’t do what I say! You have to keep lying down all day. The swelling on the forehead tries to get down to the face and the eyelids!
You can see the movement of the liquid causing swelling of the face. Moves downwards in the direction of gravity. The body absorbs a portion, and the rest continues to flow downward. This is not something to be afraid of. It doesn’t give pain. The more you lie on your back, the better. Leaking out of the reception area will allow swelling to pass quickly.
Keep using your medication!
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 3
Usually, on day 3 after hair transplantation, they call you to do the first wash and take the bandage. Your first check is done, the bandage is taken, how to wash without damaging the grafts are told and done.
There is little change in the hair transplant area, but getting rid of the bandage will be refreshing. If you haven’t had a swelling until now, you can start moving more comfortably. Be careful though until day 5. Your bedtime position should continue for at least the first 10 days without touching the hair transplant area.
On the 3rd day, I experienced swelling at the back and the front of my ears (where the favorites were). The swelling fluid didn’t come to my face, forehead and eyelids. The doctor checked my forehead, said you wouldn’t have any more swelling, and he would go in a few days. That’s what happened. If swelling, you can compress with ice. Your doctor may also give you medication for swelling. I’ve never used any of this.
After the first wash, the new stage begins, where daily washings will take place. Normally you are told to do 1 or 2 washings a day. I’ve seen examples of up to 3-4 washings on the Internet, but it’s dangerous for the health of the grafts. Do not rush too much to pour shells. Do not try to take it with your fingernail or fingernail. You will kill the root of the hair with the graft.
Washing process step by step:
First of all, the foam with Panthenol Spray is bored to the entire hair transplant area. You can spread the foam by pressing it gently from the top of the hand without touching your hair. No problem touching the reception area. But in order not to do the same thing in the hair transplant area by mistake, you should never touch any area! Since you will spray in spray form, you will not need to spread much.
You’re waiting at least half an hour after the foam has been squeezed. I was expecting an average of 1 hour. Already when the foam starts to turn off, you will understand the time of washing.
Do not use the shower head when washing. Gushing water can damage grafts. You can also scald your head unconsciously because there is no feeling in the hair transplant area. Fill the water with a glass of water and pour the foam slowly. No touching! Then pour the baby shampoo into a bowl or pour it out if your doctor offered another shampoo. Foam thoroughly with dishwashing sponge. Tighten the foam with a sponge. Without touching your hair, you can simply spread it by gently pressing the foam upwards. Wait for a while and pour the water slowly and pour the foam. You can repeat it a few times. Still don’t overdo it. You may have some panthenol on your head. No harm. You don’t have to try to wash them all.
Do not touch the hair area in the first few washings. Then you can wash it normally but do not get too close to the hair transplantation area.
At this point, I must warn you that no area is scratched, no matter what! If you cannot resist, wash or handle by touching with your fingertip if there is itching in the reception area.
Do not dry the hair transplant area with a hair dryer or towel after washing. Until the shells are completely poured out, these two don’t! A piece of paper towel can be gently absorbed into the water by dropping it over your head. Get it too lightly with both hands, without rubbing it.
You may feel uneasiness while doing the washes until you pour the shells, but if you found panthenol in the foam form it will come easy. I used the lotion to try it once. Believe it is really hard to wash it. It’s trouble to get to the head!
Normally, pain in the reception area needs to relax with the 3rd day. I’ve heard that many people have no pain. I had a pain that was caused by lying on the same spot. As it should pass, it has increased! I’il talk about this later.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 4
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 5
The front and back of the swelling of my ears began to lighten in the 5th day. On the 4th and 5th days, I only do one wash.
Redness in skins and skin was softened. The shells of the grafts sown in the upper side began to soften.
Normally I had to leave the antibiotic on the 5th day, but since the pain in the reception area continued, I continued to have no infection risk.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 6
Now, the shells in the hair transplant area in the front also started to lose their color. I did two washing on the 6th day.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 7
I went to control because of the severe pain in the area where the hair intake was made. The doctor checked the hair transplantation area. There is no problem, the pain may be muscle pain, he said. He said to continue with the painkiller, that I was gonna be okay soon.
As an additional information, the FUE method is usually described as no pain in the hair intake area after the operation. When I was researching micromotor purchases, especially when the number of grafts removed is high, I have seen the pain of nerve and tissue damage in the hair reception area can be seen. I have read the forum posts of people who have experienced severe pain for up to 4 months. The good news is that usually this kind of pain is reduced within a few weeks at most.
On day 7 under normal conditions 70% of the grafts are referred to as the day on which they hold.
Shock spill already, a large part of the hair planted will be poured. I read two forum posts about the fact that the tissue that will form the new hair will be safe where it is planted, and it is normal for the graft to be shed with some skin.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 8
In the hair reception area, the pain continues. I think the vitamin B complex worked a bit. Now there is a relief of pain rather than aggravation.
Shells are becoming increasingly transparent. I usually do the washing twice a day. I wash the hair intake zone by tapping. I still wash the hair transplant area without touching it.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 9
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 10
The pain in the hair intake area decreased. There’s a feeling of stinging and pinching. After 10 days of hair transplantation, close to 100% of undyed grafts during sowing is now considered to be a new replacement. You can lightly touch the area of hair transplantation during washing. Nevertheless, wait for 1 month to complete your normal hair-washing habits.
In the front shells and skins, it rises and grows with hair as the ones in the back, rising and moving away from the scalp. If this isn’t normal, I’m sure I’m going to keep my life bald. Shells look more like dandruff.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 11
The days when we’re more comfortable now. Nevertheless, it is useful to sleep with a pillow with neck support avoiding contact with the hair transplantation area. There’s no trouble lying down. These days the initial swelling falls unnoticed.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 12
There is no shell left in the scalp. Shells and some of the skin, some of them still adhered to the hair, but remain separate from the skin. One of the things that worried me was that there was an unbalanced amount of hair on the right and left sides.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 13
Hair grows or pushed out of the skin to be poured. There’s still shells in the hair. That’s why I keep doing the washings 1 or 2 times a day.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 14
There is an overcrowding in the back of the head. Even if these images do not improve, even if the hair transplantation area is frequent, the result is that I have undergone an unsuccessful operation for hair removal aesthetics.
Some hairs falling on the 14th day. They fall off with the skin. It’s a scary image. In humans, the loss of graft, creates uneasiness. You cannot find clear documentation on how to spill it on the internet. Everyone’s experience is different. I can’t comment on whether this is normal before seeing the result.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 15
The shells hanging from the hair were thoroughly reduced. In the meantime, hair transplantation region seems to sparse. Spillage may be happening during washing. You can’t realize.
Right, left and back images are not different from yesterday.
The photos show the sparse occurrence at the back side of the reception area. Since the day of hair transplantation, you can see some short hair strands that have remained short. I guess the hair strands are also experiencing a shock. Let’s see if this rarity will be improved later.
2 weeks have passed since hair transplantation. As of today, we have no problem in returning to normal life before planting. The hair has already stabilized. It is difficult to damage the grafts that are planted unless you intentionally try to harm or receive bleeding blows. Nevertheless, we keep away from the haircut with the machine (if you have a high quality machine at home, you can make a number of 2, 3 without pressing and cleaning the hair). There’s no barber until one month’s full. Can be fitted with a non-pressing hat. But when it is possible, he must remove it immediately. We don’t use berets. Paint is still forbidden! We can continue to live our old life by taking care of the hair transplantation area. If you still have skins adhering to the skin, I suggest you go for a check. No matter how many days pass, there are no shreds on the skin. Do not blow up the squeeze if the acne comes out. No scratches!
Drowsiness continues in the hair transplantation area. That is a normal thing. Do not worry. But be careful of the bumps. Your protection reflexes are still not running.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 16
Retained shells continue to decline. There’s a slight dilution in the hair transplant area. I find a few hairs on the pillow in the morning. Some of them are in the form of skin or crust, and some of them are just as wire.
In the meantime, if your doctor has not stated otherwise, you can return to your normal hair washing habits.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 17
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 18
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 19
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 20
The rate of hair loss started to increase. As of today, I started using Minoxidil. My goal is to ensure the rapid recovery of the shocks of shocks in the reception area and reduce spillage in the hair transplantation area, ensuring that the spills are more quickly met.
I’d like to warn you if you’ve never used minoxidil before. Do not start using without consulting your doctor. Do not use if there are still areas that do not heal. Even if your doctor gives you consent, try minoxidil (2%) for the first month in case of allergies. Switch to 5% later.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 21
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 22
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 23
There is no skin or shell part in this hair.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 24
There is no rare improvement in the area where the geft are taken. In the area where hair transplants are made, shedding continues.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 25
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 26
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 27
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 28
AIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 29
TRANSPLANT – DAY 30
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 31
A month after hair transplantation. Now we can go back to the old way of life, including hair transplantation. Since the hair transplantation zone is still lethargic, we continue to be careful against the bumps.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 40
With shock shedding, the hair transplantation zone was thoroughly sparse. The color tone difference around the hairline in the forehead area has not yet passed. The redness in the hill area is about to return to its normal color. Before these photos, I shaved all the hair and hair transplantation area with my own shaver. I don’t feel safe enough to deliver it to the barber yet.
On the back side, the sparse area after graft ingestion is hardly noticeable when it shortens my hair. I think that area began to recover itself.
Due to the shock shedding, most of the planted hair was shed. But some of them continue to grow.
HAIR TRANSPLANT – DAY 45
