Doctor held for theft of hair transplant machine’s design
SURAT: In a first of its kind case, Surat police arrested a doctor for allegedly stealing another doctor’s patented design of a hair transplant machine. The complaint was filed against the accused by another doctor under IPC sections 380, 196 and 120(B). The accused was allowed to go after his statement was recorded as he already had been given anticipatory bail by a local court.
Plastic surgeon Dr Pradipsinh Atodariya claims to have developed and designed a hair transplant machine through which multiple hair transplant is possible at a time.
However, Magan Vasava stole the pictures of the machine and provided it to Dr Mayur Lekhadia. After he got the pictures of the machine, Lekhadia declared himself the developer of the machine on internet. He obtained anticipatory bail after the complaint was filed against him. He presented himself before the crime branch on Thursday evening. He was officially arrested and then released after his statement was recorded.
“We have begun investigation in the case. We have asked Lekhadia to be present in the court on October 22. We plan to seek his remand. We are on trail of accused Vasava and are hopeful of catching him soon,” said police inspector NP Gohil of crime branch.
A-Z about hair transplant
Hair transplantation is an artistic, surgical redistribution of the permanent/long life hair follicles taken from the donor dominant areas, viz., the back and sides of the head to the bald/balding areas of the scalp.
These long life hair follicles are transplanted into the bald/balding areas of the scalp. With current microsurgical technologies, this results in a very natural appearing hair re-growth in the bald scalp areas. Dr. Arvind Poswal, MBBS (AFMC), MIMA, Hair Transplant Surgeon in Delhi decodes the ‘miracle’ procedure and the risks involved.
Consult an expert: It is really important to sit down with the surgeon and to have a complete evaluation to determine whether you are a good candidate for hair transplantation. Try to choose the right expert.
Types of hair and outcome: The hair colour, the texture of the hair such as whether it is straight or curly, can affect the outcome in a significant way. The candidate with lighter blonde type hair generally better result than a person with fine, straight, black hair.
Various hair transplant procedures: Follicular Unit Hair Transplant (FUHT) and Follicular Unit Separation Extraction (FUSE) are the widely practiced techniques in the field of hair transplantation.
