It is true that men more often lose their hair than women, mainly due to baldness in men (more on this later).
But thinning hair and hair loss are also common among women and not less depressing. Causes can range from simple and (only lasting for a short time) vitamin to more complex as a major health problem.
In many cases, there are ways to treat hair loss in men and women. It all depends on the reason. Here are some common and unusual reasons why you can see less hair on your head.

  • Physical stress: Any type of physical injury, car crash or serious illness, including the flu, causes hair loss. This can cause a type of hair loss called telogen. The hair has a programmed life cycle: the growth phase, the rest phase and the loss phase. “When a really stressful event happens.
